Workshop Policies

Age Requirements

You must be 12 years or older to attend, and students 12-14 must be accompanied by a registered and participating adult.

Students 15-17 must attend with a parent or guardian, but can register and participate independently.

Experience Requirements

Unless otherwise noted in the Workshop Description, these classes require no experience to participate in.

Dress Code

Closed toed shoes and denim pants are required. Leather boots are recommended if you have a pair. Your shirt can be short or long sleeves as long as it’s comfortable and made of cotton (remember it can be several degrees warmer by the forge).

Synthetic fibers should not be worn while blacksmithing.

If the weather is chilly or warm that day, please dress accordingly as we will be working outside but in the shade.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made with 2 or more weeks notice of your workshop date.

50% refunds will be issued for cancellation made with 1 week notice of your workshop date.

No refunds will be given for cancellation made within 1 week of the workshop date.

This is an industry standard for many art workshops and guarantees the facility and instructors the resources needed to plan and run these workshops based on the number of students who have signed up.

Our Right to Cancel or Reschedule Your Workshop

We retain the right to cancel or reschedule your workshop if our minimum registration requirement is not met. This decision will be made 7 days prior to your workshop, and you will be contacted within this timeframe and offered a chance to reschedule or receive a full refund immediately. We always regret having to make this call, and will often contact you further in advance to let you know this may happen and encourage you to share the event with friends and encourage last minute sign ups.

Waiver of Liability

We require every student sign a Waiver of Liability Form prior to your workshop, and that form will be sent to you at your time of registration.

All your safety gear will be provided and safety training will be the first topic we cover in each class. If at any point in your workshop you need assistance or want to take a break, please feel comfortable requesting it.

These classes are designed to be fun and educational and we understand that everyone arrives with individual skill sets.  We do not expect you to master the techniques you are being taught on your first day.  We appreciate you arriving well rested and with a clear head, so we can all enjoy our time together!
