Intro to Welding on Friday Oct 3rd from 6-8pm 
Saturday and Sunday, Oct 4 & 5  from 9am-1pm
 
This class requires an additional $100 material fee be paid on the first day of class.
Class size is 5 students maximum 
 
The Friday night class is optional. You must have welded at Fever Metal Art Center within the past 9 months to skip this portion of the workshop. If you choose to skip it, $50 of you class registration fee will be deducted. Please email LeslieTharpDesigns@gmail.com if you'd like to skip this portion of the class. 
 
Intro to MIG Welding at Fever Metal Art Center's facility
 
WELD YOUR OWN  garden trellis for year-round use!
Join us for an incredibly fun weekend at the shop as we form huge metal trellises out of round mild steel bar stock and plasma cut sheet metal. 
 
Students will start with a pre-build 2' x 4' frame, and spend the first session learning to weld and plasma cut. Each student will be given additional 3/8" round and 1/2" round steel bar, as well as a maximum of 2'x2' of 16 gauge steel.
 
Day 2 is the big build out! Students leave with finished projects.
 
Please note a similar class has been offered in the past with a different sized trellis. This class offers all the same techniques in a slightly smaller trellis size to ensure students have enough time to comfortably finish their projects.
 
All safety gear is provided. No experience necessary. Students must be 16 yrs or older. Individuals with pace-makers are not permitted to take this class for safety reasons.
